Another day in paradise!

Charlotte is doing very well!! She's eating great and had a great checkup with her doctor. Last night, she kept us up till nearly 4AM, but it didn't seem to bother me (ask me again in 2 weeks!).
She's just so great, and I fell in love the moment I saw her.

Amy took her out for her first outing today. She and her mom went to Target and Moe's. It was a little rainy out, so Amy put on her little raincoat, a gift from my sister Doris. It's so cute!!!
Here are some more pictures!

I'm so grumpy.

Charlotte is at home doing wonderfully. She is sleeping the night away, usually only waking up twice between 11PM and 7AM, which isn't too bad, since I need to be up at 7 at the latest, anyways. She sometimes gets fussy, but not a lot of screaming till we take off her diaper to change it...brrrrr cold!!

I will have more pictures up tonight.

I'm grumpy because I had to get back to work yesterday and want to be home with Charlotte. So, grumpy am I.

First Night

Our first night at home with Charlotte went great. She woke up twice (at 2AM and 5AM) and went right back to sleep after a diaper change and a feeding. We seem to be giving her what she needs before she lets us know she needs it, because she hardly ever cries. We woke up to her fussing last night and took care of her before it was a full fledged meltdown.
She did NOT enjoy her bath today, but she did LOVE having her hair washed. Here are some more pictures of her new life! Enjoy :)

Big Charlotte Update!!

Hello everyone. Sorry for the short posts, but the hospital does not have internet access, and I had to update via text message. I'm glad everything posted okay.

Here are the stats of Charlotte Elizabeth Longtin

Born: Friday, January 23, 2009 10:03PM
Weight: 7lbs 4oz
Length: 20in.
Awesomness: Total.

Amy had a tough delivery. She was in labor for about 14 hours and was pushing for 3 HOURS STRAIGHT! After 3 hours, they decided to do a vacuum birth and then we had our little girl! Charlotte had a tense few minutes at the start due to some meconium (fetus/newborn poo) in the amniotic fluid. She had to be taken right away to clear her airways to be sure they got all of it cleaned out very good. All seems to be well and we will keep everyone posted! I have uploaded pictures of Charlotte, Amy, Nikki, and Helen. There are no pictures of me with Charlotte yet, because my mother took pictures with her camera and I haven't gotten them yet.
